Karyn Kemp-Smith is a Regional Public Affairs Manager at PSEG Long Island. In this role, she is responsible for communicating and promoting PSEG Long Island and its programs to external stakeholders and serves as a liaison to the elected officials on behalf of their constituents on all PSEG Long Island related issues. In addition, she successfully develops and executes community outreach plans for capital projects in the Western Suffolk region, and oversees storm communications in her region, updating elected officials on restoration efforts during all storm events. She enjoys working in this capacity and has built a reputation of partnership and responsiveness with external stakeholders to help ensure customers receive a high standard of customer service. At PSEG Long Island, Karyn is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council, the Women’s Network employee business resource group and serves as the Community Outreach Chairperson for the Alliance employee business resource group. Karyn is also on the Board of Girls Inc of Long Island. In addition, Karyn is the Artistic Director of the Venettes Cultural Workshop, a not for profit performing arts organization on Long Island. Karyn is a graduate of The George Washington University where she received her BBA with a secondary field of Psychology and is the proud mother of her two daughters, Skye and Sydney.
