Ruth Honauer has been a Store Manager with Saker ShopRites for over 20 years and an Associate since 1968 when she started as a part time Cashier. She is a graduate of Middletown High School. Her ultimate goal was to become a Store Manager so she returned to Middlesex County College for Retail Management. She is one of a handful of female Store Managers with Saker ShopRites. She has mentored and developed women and supported their upward mobility into key leadership positions in retail. She is an example of our Promise – to offer our customers the best quality at the best price, to make every customer a satisfied customer.
In addition to being a Store Manager, Ruth is very involved in the community in which she serves. She consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of her to bring superior customer service skills to the table. She has been singled out by several customers for how compassionate, helpful, generous and kind she is. One customer compared the service was fit for a king. She was awarded the Employer of the Year in 2004 by The Arc of Monmouth County.
In 2003 and 2004, Ruth was recognized and featured on the General Mills Cheerios box for her fund-raising efforts in Wakefern's Annual Partners in Caring Program. Ruth feels that much of her success is due to her family. "My children are very proud and have been very supportive." She is the proud mother of four children and five grandchildren.
