Amanda is the Optimization Manager at Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery. In this role, she is responsible for maximizing operational performance and refinery profit. Amanda combines her strong technical and economic backgrounds to drive record production rates and yields, and identify improvement opportunities. In her role, she leads three teams: Planning and Economics, Process Controls & Modeling, and Refining & Polypropylene Laboratories. The three functions are integrated, where quality lab data is incorporated into the refinery controls and models to optimize daily operations. She oversees the purchase of 100 million barrels of crude and refinery feedstocks, and corresponding product sales. She develops long-term strategies and continuous improvement projects to sustain Bayway Refinery operations for years to come. Additionally, she serves as the liaison to all third parties at the Bayway Refinery Complex.
Amanda graduated in 2003 from Pennsylvania State University as a Chemical Engineer. She has held various engineering positions at Bayway Refinery, and transitioned into supervision in 2008. She currently sits on the Refinery Leadership Team as Optimization Manager. In her career, she has stewarded business optimization and cost control strategies for Bayway Refinery. Additionally, she initiated the New Hire Network and served as Phillips 66 Lead Recruiter at Penn State University. Outside of work, Amanda spends time with her husband and 8-year old twins.
