​As Manager of the Health and Wellness Department at Wakefern, Desiree Olivero is responsible for helping to design and implement innovative marketing initiatives that inspire and educate customers and associates across the Wakefern banner, to make empowered food and nutrition choices.
 
Whether it's introducing a new product in the bakery division or launching a virtual RD chat, working with people to bring health and wellness to the forefront is her passion.
 
Desiree, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, joined Wakefern as a supervisor in Loss Prevention. She has spent her professional career at Wakefern in various sectors of the organization including procurement and e-Commerce.
 
Desiree is on the Wakefern board of Special Olympics of New Jersey and the Executive Board of the trade organization, Produce for Better Health. She believes in the benefits of enjoying a meal with loved ones, even if that is done on the baseball field with sons Joseph and Lucas, and her husband Frank. She believes that in all things professional and personal, relationships are the key to success. Work hard and be kind!
